EDIT: Last day for Secret Santa signups! I'll be putting the list together tomorrow.



It's that time of the year for art and presents simultaneously because the art is the presents! I want to start a little earlier this year, to give everyone plenty of time to work on their gifts and allow for a safety buffer.


If you'd like to participate, send me an e-mail at shamm@smu.edu by Friday, 13 November.


In your e-mail, tell Santa what topics you like and would like to receive a drawing based upon (video games, cartoons, Chinese historical figures, etc.), and what you wouldn't mind or enjoy drawing for someone else. Also make note if there's something that you don't want to draw, and be sure to include your dA username.


For example:

Dear Santa,

I love TF2 and Mario, and I like drawing game characters, portraits, animals, and cartoons. No animu or mango style.




This will help me and my elves in our mostly random assignment of artist pairs.

What you want to draw is up to you, but it's probably advisable to check out the other persons' dA page to get an idea for what they might like the most. It's the thought that counts!

Once I get a list of all the participants, I'll mix you up and send you an email back with your Santees. The only thing that I ask is that you sign up only if you are sure that you will be able to complete your gift. There's nothing worse than finding out the night before Christmas, that someone isn't going to have it done, or when someone signs up and then forgets about the whole thing and doesn't contact me. If an issue does come up, please let me know as soon as possible so that I can make arrangements. If you're willing to volunteer as a back-up artist in case of an emergency, let me know in your e-mail. :>

Not sure on a final date to finish your drawings since I'll be graduating and traveling the last week before Christmas, but I'll finalize it it ASAP. You get over a month, at any rate.
